Thistle and Rose Scottish and English Bespoke Stationery
When the concept of two designs becoming one was presented to us by one of the UK's leading wedding planners we were instantly sold. A Scottish bride and English groom. Carole and David's two nations formed the theme for their wedding. Carole's initial is entwined in a page of Thistles, David's in Roses. When the two pages close they become one design. A union of Thistles and Roses. Endlessly romantic.
'I love it when a design is clever. I always like to include an element of discovery in my designs and this concept handed it to me on a plate. It was technically challenging to create a laser cut that would hold together and have spaces for the other design to fill. But that's what made it such fun to do.'
As well as the Invitations we also created Information Cards, Accommodation Cards and Reply Cards, all tucked neatly inside a pocket on the inside of the invitations. Complete with Criss Cross Menus, Order of Service, Welcome Letters, Place Cards, Favour Notes, a Guest Book and a fabulous Mirror Table Plan. Invitations are engraved in Silver ink inside, with the couple's monogram. All other stationery is silk screen printed in Silver ink on either Natural or Purple 350gsm wove card, except for Welcome Letter and Favour Notes which are on 135gsm Purple wove paper. With matching lined envelopes. The Mirror Table Plan is silk screen printed on a Gold framed mirror.
